Wonder What is the Internet ?

The Internet is a global digital infrastructure that connects millions of computers. It is a global internetwork (network of networks), with cross platform compatibility, using the Internet Protocol (IP) to communicate between computers. It uses existing public telephone and communication (including satellites) networks to relay data between networks using routers. The fastest growing part of the Internet is the World Wide Web. Other parts of the Internet include services such as gopher, telnet and ftp.
